Abstract

The study analyzed the psychometric properties of the Post-critical Beliefs Scale (PCBS) in a sample of 410 citizens –from 18 to 55 years– from Córdoba/Argentina, selected by a not random sampling. The PCBS was translated and adapted to the local context. With a complementary use of MDS and factorial analysis, we replicated the  two constitutive dimensions of the PCBS (inclusion vs. exclusion in the transcendence, and literal vs. symbolic interpretation of religious contents), and the four proposed sub-scales: External Critique, Second Naiveté, Orthodoxy and Relativism. The study presents analysis of reliability and external validity, and discussed some operative and conceptual questions of its adequacy in Argentina are discuss.
