La polémica Franklin-Pickering: una perspectiva estructuralista

Abstract

This controversy took place in the penultimate, with reverberations in the last, decade of the past century. It was mainly about when, how and why some experimental results are considered to be confirmatory for a theory. So, after
synthesizing the relevant facts, we will systematize those issues about the
empirical evidence models, experimentation theory and appropriated ways to write the history of physics, which underlie to the controversy. Finally, we will propose a plausible structuralist interpretation of such facts and of the underlying issues in terms of the Sneed-Stegmuller version of the dynamics of theories.
