Problemas para la localización del texto base de un fragmento neotestamentario incluido en Almaqami' Assulban de Alhazragi (S. XII)

Borrowing from a text taken out of Alhazragi’s work we provide some detailed information about the possible original text from which the Arabic version was translated. Opposite to the traditional theory from which the “Andalusian Christian Arabic texts”, mainly New Testament texts, were translated from a Latin original, we consider some difficulties to accept such a theory. We try to prove that this Arabic text could be translated from a Latin or a Greek text. If we look at the textual discriminatory features they are always indicating a Greek text. If our analyses are correct they invalidate the global theories about the Latin origin of the Andalusian Arabic New Testament translations.
