Resumo

The article intends to study, both in the Poema de Alfonso Onceno and in the Gran Crónica de Alfonso XI, how the legendary discurse device is used with ends to a propaganda of the figure of the king, since it is mainly destined to praise him not only about his triumph against the rising nobility but also about his success in the military campaigns against the Muslims.
