El norte de África en los milagros de Guadalupe

How are natural landscapes of tumultuous and troubled territories described? How they are therefore perceived? How can one refer to a reality that is both known and feared? I will resort to the Milagros de Guadalupe kept in the Archive of the Real Monasterio de Guadalupe (Cáceres, España) in an attempt to answer these questions. This source will allow me to take an innovative perspective, taking into account the geographical knowledge. This knowledge turns out to be very valuable since it grants veracity to the Miracles and it also offers edifying descriptions from a moral and religious point of view. At the same time, these descriptions are very useful from a practical point of view as they indicate distances, the depth of rivers and streams, animals to be afraid of, etc.
