Abstract

The Latin American anarchist movement has its roots in the European “ácrata” current of thought, however, it recognizes an important local oral and written tradition not only in social struggles and strike movements, but also in the organization efforts of associations and federations as well as of media and printing companies. Contacts made among Argentine acrata militants and their Mexican peers are deemed to be essential to revitalize this movement that, since 1910, is undergoing a decline process. These relationships are intended to update their postulates, adapting them to the XXth century challenges regarding social, political and economic issues.
