Proscripción y exilio. Ofensiva judicial contra Perón

Abstract

This article analyzes aspects of the institutional reform the Revolución Libertadora initiated in order to eradicate peronism from argentine political life, and it focuses particularly in the procedures aimed to ban former president Perón through the analyses of the convictions at the different stages of the judicial system. While the military forces rapidly convicted Perón through the Honor Court and removed his rank, different procedures that intended to examine acts of corruption linked him to other regime state officials. Nevertheless, it would be those crimes considered infamous such as treason and rape (that intended to show an image of social degradation) the ones that contributed to keep Perón in the exile for many years.
