La reconfiguración del campo cultural en la transición democrática: El Club de Cultura Socialista y sus funciones

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to analyze the emergence of the Socialist Culture Club (Club de Cultura Socialista) during the democratic transition period and the role it played in the rearranging of the intellectual field of the left. Within the frame of intellectual and political relationships, the paper aims to show the stances taken and the practices carried out by those who gave way to this rearrangement. With this objective, the research focused on the founding period and the first phase when a group of the founding nucleus quit the institution. It is during this period that the functions which the institution carried out for its members can be observed, taking into account the backgrounds of its most emblematic members and the new place they took up in the intellectual field.
