Withdrawal Policy

Revista Teología is committed to integrity and transparency in scientific publication, for this reason it is committed to handle all retractions in a transparent and fair manner, clearly informing all parties involved and the public about the process and reasons for the retraction. Guidance and resources will be provided to authors and reviewers on good practices in research and publication to prevent future retractions. The following describes the policy and procedures for handling retracted articles.

Definition of Retraction

A retraction is issued when a published article contains serious errors, falsification, fabrication of data, plagiarism, has been published in another journal, or any other form of scientific and/or ethical misconduct in the research process that significantly compromises the validity or integrity of the work.   1. Notice of Retraction

Publication of the notice: a notice of retraction will be published on the journal's website and will be clearly marked and linked to the affected article. The notice will explain the reasons for the retraction and who made the decision.

Accessibility: the notice indicating that the article has been retracted will be freely accessible and available in the same location as the original article or a link to the notice will be included in the original location of the article.

Notification to authors: authors will be informed of the decision to retract an article and the reasons will be explained to them.

  1. Markings on the Retracted Article

Marking of the article: the retracted article will remain accessible on the journal's website, but will be clearly marked as retracted on all pages of the article, including the abstract and the full text in PDF and other output formats used.

Linking: the retracted article will have a link to the retraction notice to ensure that readers are fully informed about the status of the article.

  1. Indexing and Archives

Database updates: Relevant databases and indexing services will be notified of the retraction to update their records.
