Ni ruptura ni vanguardia?. El Centro de música experimental de la Escuela de Artes, Universidad de Córdoba, 1965-1970

Abstract

This paper is part of a larger research project, devoted to the study of the reception of the new compositional currents in Córdoba in the 1960s and ‘70s. The present study selects as its object the Experimental Music Center of the School of Arts, National University of Córdoba, between 1965 and1970, dealing with the production, the thought and the actions of the group within the context of the mid-century musical avant-garde. Previous studies have been grounded on oral history. Here we propose an approach based on archival documents. We have examined ordinances, letters, notes, concert programs and reports produced by the main actors, preserved at the Archive of the Secretary of the School of Arts.
