Supervivencias del patrimonio cultural heredado. Danzas y canciones en los centros vascos de la Argentina

Abstract

The paper describes the results of a survey completed by Basque leaders coming from different Argentine provinces and cities. The inquiry was aimed at collecting information about the surviving Basque influences, mainly songs and dances. The resources for collecting data consist of a questionnaire, interviews and other documents such as photos and films. A researcher was able to capture some images in the festival called “Buenos Aires greets the Basque country”. There was also an interchange with Basque folk experts and directors of Dantzaris. The variety of the sources contribute to the richness of the study.
