El movimiento payadoresco argentino en perspectivas afro y femenina. Matilde Ezeiza, una ilustre desconocida

We make public the existence of an unknown daughter of the Afro-Argentine of colonial descent “payador” Gabino Ezeiza, also “payadora”. Taking up the perspective of the paradigm of indexing inferences, the clue that prompts this research is a leaflet of her authorship, with, basically, lyrics to her songs, published in Rosario (Santa Fe Province) c. 1919. We attempt to account for her regarding her double condition as daughter -also unkown- of Gabino Ezeiza, and consequently, as Afro-Argentine. The analysis of both these facets will increase the stage of the question of related topics because, even if “payada” is characterized by being a predominantly male practice, there was -and there are- some “payadoras” (female), even if up until today there was no information about Afro-Argentine ones.
