Abstract

The reading of La Regenta and Madame Bovary, realized in an intermittent but persistent mode, through the autobiographical and theoretical writing of Eulalia de Borbón, princess with an European education, transfers the politic and social concerns of the first decades of XXth Century to the fictional order.
